Upgrading 768 Kbps Connections to 1024 Kbps

& New Wholesale ADSL Service Prices

In an effort to fully meet Telecommunications Service Provider and end user needs, OTE has developed and made available another package for the Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) Service, for Fast Internet to Telecommunications Service Providers with higher upload and download rates.

The new ADSL Service package offers speeds of “up to 24576/1024 Kbps” and is a perfect addition to the collection of capabilities and options offered as part of the ADSL Service, both for Telecommunications Service Providers and end users.

At the same time, OTE is cancelling the existing 768/192 Kbps ADSL speed and is gradually converting and upgrading all such connections to 1024/256 Kbps. During the transitory period, when connections are gradually converted and upgraded, 768/192 Kbps ADSL connections will be charged based on the new price of the 1024/256 Kbps package.

With the new ADSL Service package “up to 24576/1024 Kbps” and the upgrading of 768/192 Kbps connections to 1024/256 Kbps, we can achieve full coverage of all broadband-connection-related needs in the market at high and very high speeds.

Since service upgrading becomes even more attractive when accompanied by price reduction, we are happy to announce that the price lists of ADSL Broadband Access Services are changing, and there are now new reduced charges.

Following the significant reductions in September, OTE is now able to offer even lower charges, both for activation fees and monthly fees, for all available access speeds, thus making the ADSL service even more competitive and advantageous.

The new price list of ADSL Broadband Access Services is as follows:

The charges of the ADSL service are reduced for all available speeds, and reductions range from 19.2% to 61.2%. It is noted that reduction is applied to the already reduced prices of September.

Please, note that the new high speed package of up to 24576/1024 Kbps is now offered at a monthly fee of € 12.06, that is, the price is even lower than the existing monthly fee charged for the 1024 / 256 Kbps (€ 13.89) package.

In addition, the Wholesale Discount Package used for making monthly fee discounts on a semiannual basis is also adjusted. The amount of discount will be calculated upon the sum of the monthly fees of the last three paid bimonthly bills of the six-month period (1^st and 2^nd Six-month period) for the ADSL service, as shown in the following table:
