VPU
The VPU service (Virtual Partial Unbundled Local Loop Access) enables providers to offer subscribers xDSL connections through OTE’s equipment (DSLAM OTE), while voice services can be delivered via the provider’s own equipment hosted in the Co-location area.
The VPU service is no longer available for new activations. For existing VPU services, management of fault reports, disconnections, and conversions from VPU to VPU Light remains available.
Wholesale xDSL Service
OTE Wholesale’s xDSL portfolio provides robust data transmission from and to the internet, offering available service plans with downstream/upstream speeds up to 50/5 Mbps.

VPU Light FAQs
For start you must be a licensed Telco.
Then you must contact OTE Wholesale to register as an OTE Wholesale client. Afterwards you must sign Wholesale Local & Central Access Reference Offer contracts.
If you have followed all the steps described above, you can apply and monitor your VPU light orders & connections through WCRM-LLU system.
There is also an API interface provided for order management automation.

Moreover you have to order an O.K.SY.A. or SY.ME.F.S. supplementary service at the central Exchanges collecting DSL traffic from one or more DSLAMs that provide VPU light services.

Services are charged according to the current applicable OTE price list, as published on the website www.otewholesale.gr.
Each provider receives monthly invoices, which include detailed billing information per connection and type of request. The regulatory text provides a detailed description of the invoicing settlement matters, the relevant timeframes, as well as the procedures governing transactions related to wholesale services.

VPU service is not available for new activation requests, from 23/07/2023.
For active VPU services, the ability to manage fault requests, disconnections and VPU to VPU light migrations is still maintained.
You can request VPU service termination for a customer, whenever you want.
Current VPU one-off and recurring fees are always announced at www.otewholesale.gr.
These fees are defined by local NRA on an annual basis.
VPU recurring fee applies from the day after delivery of the service regardless of the DSL modem installation at customer premises.
